Good Energy

Good Energy

Good Energy is a British energy company founded in 1999 with a mission to change the UK energy market to be part of a sustainable solution to climate change.

Good Energy matches all the electricity its customers use each year with electricity sourced entirely from renewables. They have always sourced their energy from certified sources such as solar, wind, hydro and also biofuels. To make their energy carbon neutral, the company uses carbon reduction schemes to offset the emissions of their gas customers.

Good Energy buy their renewable electricity from over 1,000 independent generators and UK businesses, as well as developing their own wind and solar farms. In 2014 Good Energy announced its investment in the Tidal Lagoon in Swansea Bay.

Good Energy’s fuel mix is 53% Wind, 24% Solar, 19% Biogen and 4% Hydro.
