What is the Energy Switch Guarantee?
The 10 Promises are:
1. Your energy supply will not be disrupted during the switch
2. Switching will be free of charge
3. From the date your application is received by your new supplier switching will take no more than 21 days
4. No one will visit your home to finish a switch (unless you agree to it).
5. The new supplier will arrange the switch and that includes speaking to your current supplier.
6. Your new supplier will send you details of the offer quickly and you’ll have 14 days cooling-off period in case you change your mind.
7. No double charging. The old and new provider will ensure that you’re not charged twice for the same gas and electric supply.
8. If anything goes wrong during the switch your new provider will take responsibility, contact you and look after resolving the problem.
9. The losing supplier will make sure your final bill is sent out no later than 6 weeks after the switch.
10. When you get your final bill if there is a credit on it and your old provider owes you money you will get a refund within 14 days.
